Kim Kardashian Gives Birth to Baby Girl!
Congratulations to
Kim Kardashian and
Kanye West, who've welcomed
their first child! Kim delivered the couple's first baby in an LA
hospital on 15 June, and Kanye was right by her side during the birth,
as was her mumager Kris Jenner.
Kim was due to give birth to the
baby in July, but the tot arrived five weeks early. The reality star
had planned a C-section early but decided to go to the hospital early
after suffering from an infection. Ultimately, it was a natural birth
and both mum and little one are doing well, it was confirmed by E! News.
As the baby arrived early, it's been placed in an incubator for now.
A source told UsMagazine.com: "Kim got sick last night and had the baby early. They're all doing great and amazing!"
Wondering
what Kimye junior looks like? Well, a source also told E! News that the
baby weighed in at under five pounds and had dark hair, just like Kim.
The baby's name hasn't been revealed yet but it's quite likely that it'll start with a K. We can't wait to find out what it is!
Leading
up to the big day, Kanye actually skipped a listening party for his new
album to join his baby mama for the birth. He reportedly disappointed
some of his biggest fans by not showing up to the bash at Milk Studios
in Los Angeles on Friday night (15 June), where he was scheduled to
preview tracks from his new album
Yeezus, which leaked online before its official release next Tuesday (18 June).
Sources
told gossip website RadarOnline.com that a rumour quickly swept through
the event that the reason Kanye was a no-show was because his reality
TV star girlfriend was going into labour. Several of Kim's close friends
including Scott Disick and Jonathan Cheban both attended the party.
Kanye recently revealed that he plans to do everything in his power to protect the privacy of his daughter.
Asked
for his thoughts on parenthood, he said: "One of the things was just to
be protective, that I would do anything to protect my child or my
child's mother ... [But I haven't] fully developed those thoughts yet. I
don't have a kid yet. Well, I just don't want to talk to America about
my family. Like, this is my baby. This isn't America's baby."
Meanwhile, Kim's celeb friends were quick to tweet their congratulations to the couple
Russell Simmons posted: "There is no greater gift in life than a child's laughter! congrats to Kim And Kanye."
Rapper Nas said: "Congrats to Kanye 4 the birth of his daughter today too! To my bros w/ daughters!!"
Bethenney
Frankel had this to say: "All kidding aside, congrats @kimkardashian on
your baby girl. It's the most beautiful, best thing that could happen
to you. Girls rule."
