Kanye West could be about to pop the question to reality TV star Kim Kardashian, with the Love Lockdown star believed to be commissioning the design of a stunning gem-set ring for his girlfriend.
The couple have been dating for several months and are consistently snapped looking loved up - and have even been given the nickname “Kimye”, which celeb super-couples are often awarded with.
Now it seems rapper Kanye is keen to make an honest woman out of his stunning girlfriend – and is even having a specially designed ring made for Kim, using pieces from an old ruby ring and earrings that belonged to his beloved late mother.
The symbolic gesture has raised eyebrows and sparked rumours that besotted Kanye is all set to pop the question.
A source told The Sun: “Kanye is always showering Kim with gifts but this one is special.
“He adores anything belonging to his mum so giving Kim this is poignant. Tongues are wagging in Kanye’s camp that he’s going to use it to propose.”
The insider added: “They’re infatuated with one another and openly talk about their future.”
Of course if the rumours are true Kanye will need to wait until Kim is divorced from her last husband, basketball star Kris Humphries, before he can take her up the aisle again.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star married Kris in a lavish ceremony last August following a whirlwind romance – but filed for divorce just 72 days later, citing irreconcilable differences.
Kanye has made no secret of his desire to marry Kim, with sources in the US claiming he’s asked the 31-year-old beauty “on more than one occasion” to marry him and would be “dead serious” if she accepted.
Looks like the Kardashian clan better get to work planning their outfits for another glitzy wedding…
